Softball Recap: West Hancock Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

West Hancock took a 17-run defeat the last time they faced off against Northwest Webster, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered an 18-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for West Hancock and bumps their season record up to 2-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Northwest Webster, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

West Hancock has already played their next matchup, a 12-0 loss against North Union on the 23rd. As for Northwest Webster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Greene County on the 24th.
