Middletown came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Upper Lake Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-24 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Upper Lake still got an impressive performance from Aimee Schaefers, who posted six points in addition to 12 boards and five blocks. With that strong performance, Schaefers is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Alyssa John, who scored 12 points and five rebounds.

Middletown pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Upper Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Middletown has already played their next contest (against Clear Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Upper Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-49 defeat against St. Helena on the 21st.
