Basketball Recap: Casa Roble Gets the Win

Casa Roble won the last time they faced Center and Paisley Canady did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rams took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 58-29 victory over the Cougars for which the team can thank Canady, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 26 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. She has become a key player for Casa Roble: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least 15 points, but 3-4 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brinley Ornelas, who posted 13 points and six boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Casa Roble now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Center, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Casa Roble and El Dorado will round out the year against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Natomas at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
