Football Recap: Pinecrest Wins Going Away Against Scotland

Pinecrest's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down the Scotland Fighting Scots 36-21. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Fighting Scots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Chris Najm had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 193 yards and four touchdowns. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Scotland lost, don't look at Tjurian White. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 73 yards.

Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Scotland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Pinecrest and Scotland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Patriots see the field they'll take on Jack Britt at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Scotland, their break will end when they face Gray's Creek at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
