Recap: Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils vs. York Suburban Trojans
It was a good run, but the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of York Suburban. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greencastle-Antrim has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Greencastle-Antrim had strong showings from Haley Noblit, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds, and Ainsley Swindell, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. The match was Noblit's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
Greencastle-Antrim's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for York Suburban, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Greencastle-Antrim won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. As for York Suburban, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Goretti at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Goretti is ranked 77th in Maryland, while York Suburban is ranked 63rd in Pennsylvania).
