Softball Recap: Heritage's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Heritage extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 9-4. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Adairsville Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Generals also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Bailee Hollis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kinley Eason was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collins Fletcher, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

As for Adairsville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly five runs.

On Adairsville's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ansley Powell, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Heritage will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
