The Lowell Red Devils will challenge the Hobart Brickies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lowell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Lowell fell victim to La Porte and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Slicers by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Red Devils were not able to get on the board.

Lowell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Gutierrez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Hobart sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over Wheeler on Friday. The Brickies haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Zach Terek made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Hobart's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Lowell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.

Lowell couldn't quite get it done against Hobart in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 9-6. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
