Campbell was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Wheeler Wildcats. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Campbell moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Wheeler, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Campbell will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. As for Wheeler, they will head out to square off against Etowah at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Etowah their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
