Granite Hills is 10-0 against Barstow since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Granite Hills Cougars will face off against the Barstow Aztecs at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Barstow will be up against a hot Granite Hills team: the squad just extended their winning streak to eight. Granite Hills' defense stepped up to hand Victor Valley a 6-0 shutout on Friday. Give the Cougars' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Victor Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Lianna Tsabur led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Barstow made sure to put some goals up on the board against Silverado on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Hawks as they made off with a 6-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Aztecs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Granite Hills pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Barstow, the victory got them back to even at 10-10-2.

Everything went Granite Hills' way against Barstow in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Granite Hills made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granite Hills since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
