Basketball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Canyon Crest Academy won the last time they faced Point Loma, and Elena Colon did her part to make sure it happened again. The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens snuck past the Point Loma Pointers with a 27-22 victory on Friday thanks in part to Colon, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.

Canyon Crest Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Point Loma, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.

Canyon Crest Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-45 loss against Kearny on the 17th. As for Point Loma, they will be taking part in a tournament against San Ysidro at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
