Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. La Jolla Vikings
The High Tech SD Storm will head out on the road to square off against the La Jolla Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. High Tech SD is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, High Tech SD came up short against Hoover and fell 50-41. High Tech SD has not had much luck with Hoover recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite their defeat, High Tech SD saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Emma LaSalle, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten steals, was perhaps the best of all. LaSalle is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivianna Cravens, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, La Jolla was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 40-39 to Canyon Hills.
High Tech SD's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for La Jolla, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.
High Tech SD came up short against La Jolla when the teams last played back in January, falling 42-38. Can High Tech SD avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
