North Branch put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Cloquet Lumberjacks 30-16. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 202nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Branch's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cloquet, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Branch will square off against rival Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cloquet is set to take on their familiar foe Hermantown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
