Photos of the Year: The best of 2012-13 high school sports captured by MaxPreps photographers

Slideshow highlights stunning images from another fantastic prep sports year.

MaxPreps has some of the top sports photographers in the nation covering high school games, and the photos captured throughout the school year are truly stunning.

There are over 800 photographers across the nation in the MaxPreps Professional Photographers' Network, and they consistently highlight the tremendous accomplishments of high school athletes.

We recently asked our freelance photographers to submit their three best action photos from this past sports year from the galleries they post to the MaxPreps site, and we have pared those submissions down to the top 20 images of the year.
