Football Recap: Normal University Pioneers vs. Manual Rams
Normal University had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Manual Rams to the tune of 71-22. With the Pioneers ahead 50-22 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Normal University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade Cunningham, who picked up 202 receiving yards and three scores, and also rushed for 46 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Rhett Lynch, who gained 138 total yards and four touchdowns.

Normal University has already played their next game, a 19-14 defeat against Bloomington on the 5th. As for Manual, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 24-14 loss against Richwoods on the 5th.
