Football Recap: McCreary Central Comes Up Short

McCreary Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 36-13 to the Harlan County Black Bears.

McCreary Central dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harlan County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, McCreary Central will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bell County at 7:30 p.m. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Harlan County, they will head out on the road to square off against South Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Black Bears 13.4, the Cardinals 11) so any points scored will be well earned.
