Basketball Game Preview: Serra Cavaliers vs. St. Paul Swordsmen

The Serra Cavaliers and the St. Paul Swordsmen will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.

Serra is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing St. Paul: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Serra blew St. Paul out of the water with a 60-18 final score. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Serra found their leader in sophomore Mariyah Lewis, who went 11 for 19 en route to 24 points. Lewis is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Kaicia Snelson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

St. Paul is on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13. As for Serra, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
