If Murrieta Mesa wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Murrieta Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Valerie Lauritzen. The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 52-21 victory over the Murrieta Mesa Rams thanks in part to Lauritzen, who posted 15 points and five steals. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Axene, who earned five points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Murrieta Valley's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Murrieta Mesa, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
