Basketball Recap: Desert Hot Springs Comes Up Short

Desert Hot Springs was the 48-45 winner over Banning when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Banning Broncos. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Symora Prince, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards for Banning. Another player making a difference was Nylea Smith, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Desert Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Banning, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Desert Hot Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-27 win against Cathedral City on the 9th. As for Banning, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-15 victory against Desert Mirage on the 9th.
