Basketball Recap: Grace Davis Takes a Loss

Grace Davis played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 55-34 to Lathrop. While losing is never fun, Grace Davis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 862nd, while Lathrop is ranked 82nd).

Lathrop was led to victory by Shakara Porter and Jaleiyah Ray. Porter almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards, while Ray almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Ray continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Breanna Wiseman, who posted nine points and four steals.

Grace Davis has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Lathrop, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
