Basketball Game Preview: San Juan Hills Stallions vs. Aliso Niguel Wolverines

The San Juan Hills Stallions are taking a road trip to square off against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in San Juan Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

San Juan Hills is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 11, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Carlsbad by a score of 58-56. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Stallions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Lancers are ranked 392nd).

San Juan Hills might have lost, but man, Adelyn Boberg was a machine: she went 11 for 22 on her way to 32 points. Those 32 points gave Boberg a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Davis, who posted six points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Aliso Niguel beat Poway 48-35 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Aliso Niguel's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. As for San Juan Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Everything came up roses for San Juan Hills against Aliso Niguel in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-25 win. In that matchup, San Juan Hills amassed a halftime lead of 48-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
