Baseball Game Preview: Archer Tigers vs. Grayson Rams

Archer is 0-10 against Grayson since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Tigers will host the Rams at 5:55 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Archer has three straight victories, Grayson has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Wednesday, Archer was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary's, taking the game 10-5.

Archer let Sean Gates and Logan Pogorezelski run wild. Gates scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Pogorezelski scored three runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Pogorezelski a new career-high in doubles (two). Grant Thurmond was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Grayson's offense. They lost 7-0 to Loganville on Thursday.

Archer's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Grayson, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Archer couldn't quite get it done against Grayson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
