Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. Perris

The Lakeside Lancers will head out to take on the Perris Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Lakeside's offense. They came up short against Hemet on Friday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Lakeside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 936th, while Hemet are ranked 393rd).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2025, Perris was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. Neither they nor Moreno Valley could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-2. With that draw, Perris' record moves to 4-3-3.
