Basketball Recap: Livingston Falls Despite Big Games from Tatianna Alvarez and Isabella Zazueta

Livingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grace Davis Spartans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-29 back in January.

Isabella Zazueta and Tatianna Alvarez certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Zazueta posted 13 points and three steals, while Alvarez scored 18 points. Those 18 points gave Alvarez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annalee Aguilar, who had four points.

Even though they lost, Livingston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Livingston's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Grace Davis, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

Livingston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-22 win against Central Valley on the 4th. Grace Davis has also already played their next game, a 67-61 loss against Beyer on the 4th.
