Football Recap: Hardin-Jefferson Takes a Loss

Hardin-Jefferson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Little Cypress-Mauriceville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks fell just short of the Bears by a score of 17-14 on Friday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Hardin-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hardin-Jefferson will square off against rival Bridge City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Little Cypress-Mauriceville is set to take on their familiar foe Livingston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
