Basketball Recap: South El Monte Takes a Loss

South El Monte and Arroyo Valley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South El Monte had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 29-28 to the Arroyo Valley Hawks.

South El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Arroyo Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.

South El Monte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arroyo Valley, they will square off against Banning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Banning will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Arroyo Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
