Softball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Taylor County Vikings. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 4, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Taylor County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Manchester will take on Marion County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Taylor County, they will head out on the road to take on Jasper County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
