Soccer Game Preview: Central Valley Christian vs. Lompoc

The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers will square off against the Lompoc Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central Valley Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Cabrillo onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering the Cavaliers have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Cabrillo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cooper Piepgrass, Emerson Kroeze, and Ava Gambini.

Meanwhile, Lompoc earned a 3-1 win over Frontier on Saturday.

Central Valley Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Lompoc, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.
