Soccer Game Preview: Enochs vs. Oakdale

The Enochs Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Oakdale Mustangs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Enochs is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Franklin onto the board and left with a 6-0 win on Saturday. Anna Herbst was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Oakdale won against Manteca on Monday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. Oakdale blew past Golden Valley 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Enochs, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Oakdale, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Enochs took their victory against Oakdale when the teams last played back in December of 2016 by a conclusive 5-1. Will Enochs repeat their success, or does Oakdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
