Recap: Cypress Centurions vs. Valencia Tigers

The Cypress Centurions waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Valencia by a score of 50-39. That's another feather in the cap for Cypress, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Isabella Caceres was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Shigekawa, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

Cypress is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Valencia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-12.

Cypress will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. Kennedy has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. As for Valencia, they will head out on the road to face off against Crean Lutheran at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Crean Lutheran will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
