Football Recap: Black Hawk/Warren IL Takes a Loss

Black Hawk/Warren IL and Cashton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Black Hawk/Warren IL had to settle for second. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Black Hawk/Warren IL was not able to make up for their loss to Cashton from their previous meeting back in November of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Black Hawk/Warren IL lost, don't look at Jacob Woodruff. Despite the final result, he rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Woodruff's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. Dax Paquin was another key back, rushing for 74 yards and one TD.

Black Hawk/Warren IL's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Cashton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Black Hawk/Warren IL does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cashton, they will challenge Potosi/Cassville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 11.7, Potosi/Cassville 14.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
