Volleyball Recap: Union County Wins Going Away Against Union City

Union County won the last time they faced Union City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Indians. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Union County was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-6.

Union County found their leader in sophomore Casey Klein, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Klein.

Union County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Union City, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Union County has already played their next game (against Speedway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Union City, they will face off against Winchester Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
