Volleyball Recap: Floresville Find Success

Floresville posted their closest victory since October 15, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bryan Vikings.

Floresville was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-11, 25-10.

Makenna Hertless paced Floresville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hertless got some help from Maddie Harden and her 14 assists. Lailah Fuentes controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Floresville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bryan, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Floresville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Spring on the 15th. As for Bryan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Kinkaid on the 15th.
