Baseball Recap: Crawford County Has No Trouble Against Metter

With a playoff win on the line, Crawford County rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Metter Tigers 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Crawford County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Metter, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-14.

Coming up, Metter will take on Lanier County on the 7th. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Crawford County will be paying especially close attention to Metter's contest: after Metter faces off against Crawford County, they'll take on Crawford County again on Tuesday.
