Shikellamy was the 69-28 winner over Central Mountain when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Shikellamy Braves fell 58-45 to the Central Mountain Wildcats on Friday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shikellamy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nadia Smith, who posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Kelsey Deitrich was another key player, putting up six points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Shikellamy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Mountain only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

Leading Central Mountain to victory were Lena Walker and Camdyn Weaver. Walker went 8 of 19 on her way to 18 points and six assists, while Weaver dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Weaver a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Doyle, who had six points and six rebounds.

Shikellamy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Central Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Shikellamy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-55 defeat against Lewisburg on the 20th. Central Mountain has also already played their next matchup, a 63-53 win against South Williamsport on the 20th.
