Soccer Game Preview: Union County vs. North Murray

The Union County Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the North Murray Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union County is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Union County proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Sonoraville 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, North Murray waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

North Murray now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Union County, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Union County came out on top in a nail-biter against North Murray in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, sneaking past 1-0. Will Union County repeat their success, or does North Murray have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
