Softball Recap: Hawkinsville Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Hawkinsville's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Marion County Eagles on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly ten runs.

Hawkinsville is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. As for Marion County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawkinsville will host Telfair County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Marion County, they will square off against Pataula Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
