Baseball Game Preview: South Paulding Spartans vs. Villa Rica Wildcats

South Paulding is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while Villa Rica is on a 12-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Spartans will host the Wildcats at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

If South Paulding beats Villa Rica with four runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Spartans had just enough and edged out McIntosh 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since March 21st.

Meanwhile, Villa Rica's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand McEachern a 2-0 shutout.
