Clarke Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Apalachee Wildcats a 6-0 shutout. Considering Clarke Central have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Clarke Central pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven matchups. As for Apalachee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.

As for Apalachee, they will venture away from home to take on Morgan County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Apalachee will need to watch out since Morgan County has now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
