Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orland walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Anderson Cubs on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 12 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Anderson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nelani Bose (2), Ella McDermott (2), and Bethzaida Salinas.

Orland's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those ten games. As for Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Looking ahead, Orland will be playing in front of their home fans against West Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orland's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so West Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
