After both having extra time off, the Cartersville Hurricanes and the Jackson Jaguars will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. One thing working in Cartersville's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Cartersville barely beat Hiram the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes claimed a resounding 50-7 victory over the Hornets. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.

Braylon Hill was his usual excellent self, rushing for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Russell, who threw for 208 yards and two TDs while completing 92.3% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cartersville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 200 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Jackson beat Pace Academy 19-12 on Thursday.
Jackson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ryan Miller.
Cartersville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.5 points over those games. As for Jackson, their record is now 7-3.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Cartersville has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.6 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Jackson, though, as they've been averaging only 96.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Cartersville against Jackson in their previous matchup back in November of 2020, as the team secured a 56-6 win. In that contest, the Hurricanes amassed a halftime lead of 42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on the 14th.
