Baseball Recap: Cook Takes a Loss

Cook and Pierce County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cook had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost four in a row.

Cook's loss dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Pierce County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

While Cook had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
