Baseball Recap: Plano Comes Up Short

Plano was the 11-0 winner over Johnsburg when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Reapers came up short against the Skyhawks on Monday, falling 9-2.

Braylon Schmidt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Plano has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18-1 record this season. As for Johnsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-9.

While Plano had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
