Basketball Recap: Shasta Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shasta couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Moreau Catholic Mariners 42-37.

Shasta's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Moreau Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-8.

Shasta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Moreau Catholic, they will face off against Marin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marin Catholic will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Moreau Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
