Football Recap: Higley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Higley faced Mountain View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Knights were outmatched by the Toros and fell 50-7. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even if they lost, Higley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Dax White was the leader with two. He has been hot recently, having also posted ten or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Legend Reidhead was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Mountain View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Goodman, who rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns. Coy Bodily was another major influence, as he rushed for 84 yards and ran in a TD.

This is the second loss in a row for Higley and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Mountain View, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Higley will square off against Saguaro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mountain View, they will take on Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Toros will be up against the Colts' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
