Recap: Penn-Trafford Warriors vs. Montour Spartans
The Penn-Trafford Warriors entered their tilt with the Montour Spartans with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Penn-Trafford walked away with a 58-50 win over the Spartans on Tuesday. Given Penn-Trafford's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Spartans are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Olivia Pepple was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Marton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Penn-Trafford's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Montour, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn-Trafford will square off against the at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakland Catholic will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Montour, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
