Volleyball Recap: Cordova's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Cordova extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Lexee King. The Blue Devils walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Corner Yellow Jackets on Thursday with plenty of help from King, who had 35 assists. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last six times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 13-25, 25-16.

Cordova's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bre Woods led the charge by getting 11 kills, two aces, and one block. That's the most kills Woods has posted since back in August. Chloe Kacharos was another key player, getting six kills and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Cordova was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Cordova's win bumped their record up to 20-15. As for Corner, they dropped their record down to 15-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cordova will head out on the road to take on Fultondale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corner, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cornerstone on the 27th.
