Basketball Recap: Buckingham Charter Takes a Loss

Buckingham Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Sacramento Adventist Capitals 48-20. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1124th, while the Capitals are ranked 422nd).

It was another big night for Kyla Friedrich, who went 9-for-13 on her way to 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals for Sacramento Adventist. That makes it three consecutive games in which Friedrich has scored at least a third of Sacramento Adventist's points. Gwen Rosich was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 11 boards and four steals.

Buckingham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Sacramento Adventist, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.

As of now, neither Buckingham Charter nor Sacramento Adventist have any future games scheduled.
