Basketball Recap: Pomona Comes Up Short

Pomona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Edgewood Lions and fell 60-6. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-7 on January 9th.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Edgewood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-11.

Pomona will take on Ganesha at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edgewood, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southlands Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Southlands Christian has won six straight at home, while Edgewood won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
