Softball Recap: Mill Creek Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Mill Creek and Richmond Hill squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Mill Creek had to settle for second. They lost 10-2 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 on Monday.

Addison Ursetta spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and seven unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mill Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marin White, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Mill Creek's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-11. As for Richmond Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Mill Creek nor Richmond Hill have any future games scheduled.
