Basketball Game Preview: Bakersfield Drillers vs. East Bakersfield Blades + How To Watch

The Bakersfield Drillers will square off against the East Bakersfield Blades at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Bakersfield picked up another tournament win last Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 72-13 victory over Buhach Colony. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Drillers.

Janayah Meeks was nothing short of spectacular: she went 5-for-7 on her way to 15 points along with six boards and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayah Edwards, who earned seven points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, East Bakersfield blew past Mira Monte, posting a 48-19 win. The Blades have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season.

Bakersfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Bakersfield, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
